Internet
Whereas most instructors permit and many
encourage using Internet sources, few consider a search
of the World Wide Web alone adequate research for a paper;
most require that other materials, including print publications,
be sought. Similarly, e-mail discussion lists and online
"chat rooms" are helpful for sharing ideas but,
except for rare occasions, are not deemed acceptable resources
for research papers.
